60′ Isn’t too much!
I used this in a home theater for a couple years before moving to wireless 5.1 audio. I had zero issues with the long length.

Met all expectations.

Perfect fit
Adapter is a perfect fit to hook my Chromecast audio to my sound bar. The short wire makes it easy to hide the little puck as well. No connection issues at all with it.

If you need a short optical cable, this is a great choice
Seems quality built, connectors snap into their sockets firmly. Exactly what I needed for my small desktop stack setup. Has attached caps for both ends in case you need to remove the cable for a while to protect them.

Reduced Optical Cable Clutter
Like many I have numerous devices connected to my Fire TV including two optical streaming devices to connect my and wife’s hearing aids for private listening. The wire clutter is terrible. This cable and one other let me connect the streaming devices and eliminates about 10 feet of optical cable clutter.

Perfect for ADAT connections
I used two of these 1’ cables for the required short ADAT runs between two A/D converters, racked in my home studio. (see photo)They replaced a pair of 3’ cables which were also about twice the size in diameter. That thick jacketing was needlessly unruly for my purposes, and any FO cable is still prone to internal damage if excess length is not carefully coiled to avoid bending.Initial observations:- Jacketing is minimalist, making these cables -extremely- flexible.- Secure seating.- Adequate stress reliefs.- Caps and SPDIF adapter individually attached to cable using soft, plastic straps.Since I’ll never be using SPDIF connections within this application, it was a simple matter of snipping those off to get them out of the way. Still, they’re a nice thing to have in your back pocket for future requirements and a much appreciated touch.FO cables pretty much either work or they don’t. Dispelling a few myths, especially for shorter runs:- Shielding.Since FO cables basically carry a strobe of light representing binary data (1’s and 0’s), they’re totally immune to EM and RF interference. Shielding serves no purpose other than adding unnecessary bulk.- Metal versus plastic TOSLINK connectors. The former have zero advantage over the latter, since signals are carried solely over the cable’s internal fiber. For that reason, gold plating and the like are obviously moot as well.If anything, the use of plastic connectors can actually extend the life of equipment jacks. Let the cable absorb that wear, instead of the much more expensive gear it’s plugged into. All that in mind, don’t be tempted to spend a lot of extra money on FO cables with those “features”, expecting they’re somehow going to enhance audio fidelity or performance in general. Finally, at this modest asking price these cables are a complete steal. Their quality and connectivity are just as good as any others I’ve used, most of which were far more expensive.

Used to connect a 3-way powered optical splitter to a Fiat screen optical audio output.

I bought a 3 meter length of this optical cable and it works perfectly. The plugs fit in my DAC and TV snuggly and don’t pop out. The case is flexible so fits inside trunking with tight turns. Very pleased.
