You’r Everyday Carry Earbuds
From a design standpoint, the Shokz OpenDots One measure up quite well.They fit my ears as well and, which are quite comfortable.They have a flexible connector that Shokz refers to as a JointArc and says “provides a gentle yet secure grip on various ear shapes” while noting that “soft silicone strategically placed on the exterior of the speaker further minimizes pressure, even during extended wear.” As with all clip-on buds, the OpenDots One, as their name implies, feature an open design. That means the bud and driver sit over your ear canal.Open buds allow for sound to leak into your ears or want to hear the outside world around them for safety reasons. The OpenDots One offer a secure fit and work well for runners. They have an IP54 rating, which means they’ll provide protection from “light rain and sweat” and are also dust-resistant.The touch controls take some to get used to. You can either tap the battery compartment or JointArc or “pinch” the battery with two fingers to control playback and answer/end calls. You can set the long tap and hold gesture to either adjust volume, activate your voice assistant or advance tracks forward and back.Shokz says the OpenDots One feature its Bassphere technology that “combines dual 11.8 mm drivers in a spherical module to replicate the performance of a 16mm driver.” They also feature Dolby Audio and Shokz’ DirectPitch technology, which minimizes sound leakage so people near you can’t hear what you’re listening to (or hear it very faintly anyway). You have to engage Dolby Audio in the Shokz App for iOS and Android and it does open the sound a bit and everything sound a tad fuller. It’s simply some form of digital processing and it’s unclear whether it impacts battery life but you can hear a difference when engaging it. The sound of all clip-on buds changes slightly with how you position the buds on your ears (you can slide the bud up or down a bit to find the most comfortable fit but the positioning may impact sound quality).The OpenDots One have “Dynamic Ear Detection” that allows the earbuds to automatically recognize which bud is in which ear, so no left or right markers are needed. They link with the Shokz App for iOS and Android, which “enables multipoint pairing between two devices, 4 pre-set EQ modes plus two personalized EQ, Find My Earbuds and more.”Bluetooth: 5.4 and Dolby AudioThe OpenDots One are rated for up to 10 hours of use on on a single charge, with an additional 30 hours of battery in the charging case, which does feature wireless charging.These are my everyday earbuds along with my Edifier Lolliclips which I carry for backup.Both are Extremly great.I have the black and now I will be ordering the Grey ones.

These are what I have been looking for
I really love these!I reviewed several earpieces, but what I like most about these are the following:1. The silicone covering on the earpiece. Other earpieces are plastic or metal. While others are comfortable, these are the MOST COMFORTABLE. the silicone covering ensures the comfort for longer wear. This is the first time I have actually found something that I can wear long term2. I LOVE that the earpiece is INTERCHANGEABLE. It doesn’t matter which ear you wear the earbuds. The earbuds can detect which ear you are wearing them. There is no left or right when placing them in the charging case.3. The sound quality is really good. Wearing both earbuds at the same time makes a noticeable difference.4. They stay charged for a long time.5. I love that the earpieces are very responsive to the touch and squeeze. Sometimes they are too responsive. When I was walking at a fast pace, my earrings kept bumping into the ear buds turning them off. I recommend not wearing earrings while working out.6. I LOVE that I CAN WEAR my EYE GLASSES and/or sunglasses with these. Over-the-ear style buds make this uncomfortable.

Top Notch Comfort and Multipoint
I am not one to leave a bunch of reviews, but these are great earbuds. My use case is work, 9+ hours a day, with VOIP calls through my computer as well as the usual assortment of Zoom/Teams video calls, streaming music or accepting private calls from by cellphone, and in-person discussions throughout the day. I am constantly in search of better options for open earbuds. The Anker OpenFit line is good. However, until these came out, I kept returning to the Shokz OpenComm. These are somehow even more comfortable than the OpenComm. I do not really notice they are on. Good battery life, good sound quality, adequate microphone. Besides being the most comfortable option for all day wear, they manage the multipoint shuffle better than anything I previously used, even without a dongle and with the notoriously bad Microsoft Bluetooth implementation. They often switch between computer and phone without me noticing, they reconnect well when I walk out of and back into range, and if they happen to not reconnect to a device, one tap gets the job done.

Amazing fitness headphones
TLDR: These are GREAT headphones for fitness specifically, not great for the price otherwise in consideration of performance and feature.I purchased the OpenDots shortly after being able to try them on before purchasing, something I wasn’t able to do with ANY other brand. In my short experience with them they excel in one very specific area, fitness activities, specifically where you may share space with others dynamically like running, walking, biking, etc… and wearing sunglasses. While they are very comfortable on long wears, I do feel the weight of the battery after a couple hours can affect comfort. The battery life has been superb compared to almost any headset I’ve ever owned. A couple of critiques, one of which is absolutely expected but should be reaffirmed, the audio quality of this design is leagues below potentially most other design of headphone. Just be prepared. If you use these with an iPhone or iPad in public you may at first wonder if the audio is on the headphone or the device speaker, sometimes hard to tell at first. Lastly, at least with Apple, the dictation compatibility is awful. Almost useless as it makes just as many errors as words it gets correctly. Probably a consequence of the design but it also affects phone calls, the mic struggles to capture the voice from the distance and position.
