Cute and Spicy
Book 4 of the Under the Mistletoe Collection was entertaining. Through a series of unfortunate events, Everleigh gets close to Griffin, the sexy fireman that rescued her twice. It was a cute and spicy Christmas themed short story.

Cute and Fun, but Not Life-Changing
Here’s a review you can use:âï¸âï¸âï¸ââCute and Fun, but Not Life-ChangingMerriment and Mayhem was a sweet and flirty holiday read with some laugh-out-loud moments, but it didnât leave a lasting impression. The premise of a baking disaster leading to sparks with a hot firefighter was definitely entertaining, and I appreciated the humor woven throughout the story.Everleigh and Griffin had solid chemistry, and their interactions were charming, but the short format didnât give their romance much room to fully develop. Itâs a quick, fun read thatâs great for getting into the holiday spirit, but itâs more of a feel-good snack than a satisfying meal.If youâre in the mood for lighthearted holiday mishaps and a festive romance that doesnât take itself too seriously, this one is worth a read!

sweet, flirty and fun
Short stories like these are perfect for end of year reads. No need to think much on plot and just go with the flow of the story. I loved it!

Fun, quirky, sweet, spicy and quick! This short little Christmas story was adorable to read. I would definitely read a full length book of this couple.

Holiday romance?
Well, that certainly put the X in Merry X-Mas.Generally, Iâm a big fan of Alexandria Bellefleurâs work, but this story fell flat in so many ways and I found myself giving both MCs the biggest side-eye possible throughout. With a story thatâs in the 50 page range, itâs really important to focus on providing context for the characters actions, but here all I got was a clumsy female MC and a stereotypically hot firefighter male MC.Everleighâs backstory fell into the tragic spectrum, but although sheâs grieving the loss of her grandmother and being alone during the holidays, sheâs also horny? Okay then. But hey, Everleigh is also incompetent when it comes to everything? She burns Christmas cookies so badly that she almost burns down her house. But donât worry, her nosy neighbor calls the fire department and soon the love interest will arrive. Okay. Um. What?Of course, the cookies arenât the only thing thatâs burning in Everleighâs house because a hotter than hot fireman swoops in to help her and start a fire in her panties. Good thing he can put out that fire with his hose. Um. Okay?Griffin is all flirty and hot and horny or whatever. His fellow firefighters all know the score here because they donât seem surprised that heâs trying to get in the pants of this damsel in distress. I mean, what? Isnât that a breach of ethics or something?I read a lot of romance novels. I get that suspending disbelief is part of the deal, but I just couldnât do that with this story. I need context that makes sense, especially if the MCs fall into insta-love territory. But this wasnât insta-love. Perhaps it was meant to be insta-love. But it really was just insta-horny and not at all what I was expecting or wanting out of a holiday romance. In this story, we get a lot of Everleigh making clumsy and dangerous decisions that land her in the arms of Griffin and eventually into his bed. Okay, fine. But whereâs the sweet holiday romance? Whereâs the swoon worthy moments? Whereâs the getting to know each other a little better? The eventual sex scene was a yikes moment from start to finish. Iâm not going to go into explicit detail about what didnât work in this scene, but having the MCs decide not to use a condom is certainly a choice. Not a good choice. But it was a choice. Blech. This story was a big no from start to finish. Griffin Brantley? Really? Everleigh Dangerfield? Really? Even the MCs names are lame. Iâm gonna go wash my brain out with a book that doesnât make me want to dry heave.

Best in this collection
I was hooked from page one. Hilarious AND steamy. Firefighter MMC? Yes please. The flirting, the banterâso perfect. This has been my favorite novella in this collection. Iâll definitely be looking into other books from this author!

I like short stories but can live without the porn
It was great story, very cute I just get tired of the sex in the stories and this one was really cute till the end and it ends with sex. It doesnât take a genius to figures out what happens when they get together word for word doesnât have to describe it.

Hot Trouble
Give me a firefighter story any day of the week..I’m from Wa and go to port Angeles often so I love a good story that takes place in somewhere I know well. This story was a cute short one Everleigh and Griffin are cute and quirky and I enjoyed the short snippet side characters as well. Not to mention a good disaster by chance meet

Não sei se eu espero demais, mas achei raso. Queria mais interações entre os dois, mais história, mas personalidade. Faltou desenvolver um pouco mais os personagens

Actual Rating: 3.5Everyone loves a hot firefighter, of course. This one was cute but again, these just don’t feel Christmasy to me.

â â â â âMerriment and Mayhem by Alexandria Bellefleur had festive charm but felt too rushed. The insta-love dynamic made it hard to connect, and Everleighâs conflict felt overly silly. Griffin was sweet but a bit too flirty, and the abrupt ending left me wanting more depth. Fun but forgettable.
by Toni
Short and sweet novella, Everleigh is in Port Angela’s for the season and while burning cookies meets fire fighter Griffin… Sparks fly, fate intervenes (according to Griffin) and maybe, just maybe Everleigh might stay longer than planned… Maybe forever.
by Alice
This is a very short novella (58 pages) and it is okay but incredibly short and lacks the depth I would have liked to see.
